Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Thrify (“we”, “us”) collects when you use thrify.app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Thrify does not require an account, and we do not sell your personal information.

Location

When you tap “I'm Feeling Thrify!” your browser asks for permission to share your approximate location. If you allow it, your coordinates are sent to our server and to Google Maps Platform to find nearby stores and calculate a route. We do not store your location after the request is complete. You can decline location access and type an address instead.

If you use the share feature, the link you share contains your starting point rounded to roughly 100 meters, along with your search settings, so the recipient can load the same route.

Google Maps Platform

Thrify uses Google Maps Platform to display maps, search for places, suggest addresses and calculate routes. Google processes the requests described above under the Google Privacy Policy.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how Thrify is used, for example how many searches are run and which features are popular. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, approximate region, device and browser type. It does not receive your precise location from Thrify. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

Thrify may show ads served by Google AdSense to keep the service free. When ads are shown:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalized ads or non-essential cookies are used.

Feedback form

If you contact us through our feedback form (hosted by Airtable), we receive whatever you choose to submit and use it only to respond and improve Thrify.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and request time to operate and secure the service. These logs are kept for a limited period.

Children

Thrify is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices and rights

You can use Thrify without sharing your location, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of analytics and personalized ads using the links above. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal information we hold. To make a request, use our contact page.

Changes

We may update this policy as Thrify changes. We will update the date at the top when we do.
